I think you misinterpreted what the original post was stating. I think by “disappeared’ it was meant to mean those responsible for these groups would be protected by the DEMs by hiding their identities. Or maybe it’s me that has it wrong.

It's you that is wrong.   In every communist revolution, the instigators are lined up against a wall and killed because the new order cannot trust them to be tolerant of the changes they bring.   That is why they have been called "useful idiots", “useful innocents”, or "useful fools."
