I didn’t see anything wrong or stupid on the part of the police. They were doing their job.. stopping and ticketing people using golf carts inappropriately. They had just ticketed one group for an overcrowded cart and this second cart came by, overcrowded and weaving on the wrong side of the road. The cop was writing a ticket when he saw the drugs passed to the woman.
This group of people has been pushing back at authority all their lives with much success. Notice the passive/ aggressive behavior.. crowding in on the cops and ignoring their commands to back off, while at the same time keeping their hands up to show fake/compliance. Well, those hands could come down in an instant and become attack weapons if the situation was favorable.
The police did well.

....and the one big guy tried to negotiate with the Police.
“Drop your gun and we, the mob, will back off”

Should of cuffed the red shirt guy first.
Went lethal weapon first(to be fair couldn't tell if the cop with the body cam had a taser, but other officers did).
Both sides escalated when a calmer voice would of slowed things down. There was one passenger that was trying to clam it down - unsuccessfully.

I agree about the hands up ploy. There has been a great deal of that in the last three weeks.
