That's already the #1 issue. Many of these complaints about the police seem redundant, because in a lot of cities they are already acting as bodyguards and guidance counselors for the violent Left - at the behest of collectivist mayors and senior police officials.
Defunding them and replacing them with social workers won't make a bit of practical difference in the citizen's ability to self-defend.
The goal is to replace them with people loyal to antifa and BLM... the 'social worker' bit is a red herring. This is about control it's not about solving problems in the black community
