A New York Times op-ed published Friday attempted to make clear what "Defund the police" actually means.
Since the May 25 death of George Floyd, police reform has been debated by lawmakers and elected officials across the country. Some of the most vocal protests have been pushing a "Defund the police" movement, a mantra that was notably painted on a street just steps from the White House.
However, that has sparked a debate within itself as to whether that slogan is a broad description of police reform or if it truly means the end of police in America.

Can we start with Wray’s mob? I can support that.
They should clarify whether the Leftist issue of “income inequality” means incomes should be equal.
EVIL DEMOCRATS dont want to be arrested for their criminality!
The New York Times, home of polysyllabic morons incapable of rational thought.
Do it. Take all police out of NYC. Get rid of 911 too since there will be no one to send out. Also get rid of Ambulances and Firemen. Ambulances are full of expensive stuff. Would you turn your back on the gangs while administering narcan? The gangs would steal the stuff, kill the workers and torch the truck. With no police protection what’s to stop the criminals from taking over.
Do it. take it all away.
Solution to this foolish push:
100% blue-flu. Even 911 until the anarchy touches the elected. Don’t return until there is a WRITTEN AND PUBLIC decree to NOT de-fund or reduce the police forces.
Holding hostage can work both ways.
Fine. Stop protecting the NYT and watch the mobs of feral street savages invading the building, and not knowing what a newspaper is, trashing the building, soiling it, and rushing out cuz no flat panel TVs.
When Leftists claim “defund the police” doesn’t mean “defund the police”, then internal polling must be very bad. They chose poorly.

If the BLM movement thinks their neighborhoods will be served better by social activists and local citizens taking responsibility for peaceful living in those neighborhoods, why did those folks not stop the looters who were burning down those neighborhoods and black owned businesses.
If they didn’t move to stop them, were they in effect supporting the looters by their silence and inaction.
No excuses. Cowboy up and show up when it’s time to grow up.
