However, Biden needs a Lefty true believer to shore up his Sandernista wing (the weakness being apparent in the PA primary results), and that candidate needs to create a senasation to give his campaign some energy (as Palin did for McCain).

Given that Biden has already committed to picking a woman, that she must be a genuine Leftist, that he needs an exciting candidate, and that the times call for a black woman, the obvious pick is easily narrowed to one:
