Wish I could believe that but they’re not that insightful. They’re wimp-assed political animals, scared of their own shadows and enjoying the numerous perks of “public service”. They’re all hoping they’ll still have their goodies when they’re standing in the ruins and the smoke clears.
The GOP members are advised by first rate political consultants. In many instances, the consultants do their political thinking, which is often to the best.
