Kevin McCarthy: ‘Could Be Appropriate’ to Rename Some Bases Named After Confederates
Breitbart ^ | June 11,2020 | Sean Moran

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said during a press conference on Thursday that it “could be appropriate” to rename some military bases that were named after Confederate generals.

McCarthy signaled his openness to renaming some military bases named after Confederates. This would have major implications for large military bases named after Confederates such as Fort Benning in Georgia and Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

“I think it could be appropriate to change” some military bases, McCarthy said.

The Senate Armed Services Committee approved an amendment on Wednesday to require the Department of Defense to rename military bases or and other installations named after Confederate generals. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) sponsored the amendment.

“It’s long past time to end the tribute to white supremacy on our military installations,” Warren wrote on Tuesday

The GOP-e has really no idea what is really going on.
FR members identified it back in 2007 and we we tried to help.
We were targeted by our own Party.

We tried to tell the GOP-e in ‘97 that H1b’s were destroying American jobs and Americans were being ordered to train in their replacements.
Again we were targeted by our own Party or ignored.

This is a terrorist takeover of the USA funded by China and Soros.
Even the FBI should be able to spell “Soros”

People need to stop with this idea that the GOP doesn’t know what’s going on.

They know what exactly is going on. They’re paid off by their billionaire donors like Paul Singer to do what they do.

The GOP is a false opposition that is meant to distract people, and all they care about is making money while they can.

This guy is a yuge RINO, handpicked by Paul Ryan himself....

big talk on TV - no action

there’s almost no point in retaking the house if this RINO is the speaker.

Collins from GA wanted to be speaker, but was told he would never be by the establishment, hence his move to the Senate

So, McCarthy’s gone all Boehner on us again. My gawd, I’m a sucker again. I actually was speaking good about him and thought he’d matured past his old milquetoast self. At least I couldn’t have voted for him.

Giving into the mob and the rioters demands. It started out with the Confederate stuff now it’s all the way to Lincoln and Jefferson memorials. soon it will no American Flag anywhere, then the Constitution needs to torn apart. These idiot GOP don’t understand the incrementalism cultural Marxism. They are too dim and shallow. They are just worried about their lobbyist money, and stuffing their pockets with our money for their own family.

I thought Kevin McCarthy was a good guy but I guess you can’t trust a Yankee on an issue like this.

“It’s long past time to end the tribute to white supremacy on our military installations,” Warren wrote on Tuesday

Has nothing to do with politics. These names were employed to recognize and honor and promote military proficiency of these great soldiers. Leave it alone. The bases are a part of ongoing history and those who have trained in them should not lose this part of their heritage.

Let the meddling agitators mind their own business and not stir up even more polarizing misconceived projects. It is neither moral nor pacifying for them to aggravate old wounds by creating new ones.

Move on, you late hate peddlers! Go find someone else's pool to pee in.

Here’s how I see it.

Never mind the merits of keeping these names or the merits of changing these names. The fact is that Dems are deliberately trying to change the subject from the lawlessness and wanton destruction caused by BLM and Antifa, and have us talk once again about the never-ending victim status of Black America.

Think about it - one week after most of our major cities’ downtown steets were ransacked by mobs, they are trying to get us to talk about anything else but the thing we ought to be talking about - namely, that our cities are out of control and their leaders are crazy.

It’s a total distraction. What the GOP needs to do is take back control of the political discourse... but that means saying some pretty tough things about how liberals have literally become terrorists...do they have the guts?

We are in full Retreat.

“We” aren’t, but those we elected to represent us are. It’s utterly disgusting.

In the inevitable hot civil war, I’d like to see traitors like MCCarthy executed before the leftist fascists.

The GOP is preemptively surrendering. They wouldn’t want to have to fight. Much of the GOP is like the junior auxiliary to the Democrats.
