So if armed Proud Boys cordon off a Seattle neighborhood and start charging business owners “taxes” will ABC news refer to that as ‘festive’? Will the mayor order police out of the neighborhood and Inslee feign ignorance of its even happening?
And what if someone tries to pull down Lenin’s statue? Will that be OK?

You know, you have some good ideas.
Now all you need is a billionaire that will back you to build a conservative army that will occupy Seattle.

Your comment about the Proud Boys is very much to the point. If any armed group of "right-wingers" tried to pull off a stunt like this, heavily armed police and FBI agents would immediately surround the area, demand the occupiers leave, and - if they refused - flood the area with tear gas, go in and smash heads, arrest everyone, and charge them with a laundry list of crimes.
The mayor, governor, and media would all applaud, and there would be no concerns about excessive force or denial of civil rights, much less any effort to sympathetically "understand" the occupiers or their motives. It would not be described as "festival-like," but as dangerous "antigovernment" criminality, as "fascism." Celebrities would not be sending the protesters bail money, and corporations would not be contributing to their cause.

The Lenin statue is in Fremont, not Capitol Hill
