Let the people of Seattle suffer

The only people who are claiming Seattleites are suffering are right wingers. I have yet to hear from a true Seattle resident.

I live in the suburbs, about 12 miles from where this is happening. The Capitol Hill area - east of downtown - is the center of the gay community and a hotbed of leftist politics. Chances are that people in that specific area don't mind (yet), but I expect that to wear off after a while. Even in liberal Seattle, I don't think this occupation would be welcomed in many parts of the city.

From a born and raised Seattlite who drove by the place just last night: I think the whole thing is 'mildly entertaining' (in a stupid sort of way). The 11th and Pine area is not just ground zero for insanity in the Seattle area, but also for King County, Washington State, and probably the entire Pacific Northwest.
