Thanks for the reply and I sincerely appreciate hearing your views on the case of the “GOP vs. the People”. ;)

I understand your points but I think there’s a tremendous amount of frustration with the GOP and that a large percentage of people would be happy to abandon it since the GOP stands for nothing. Why belong to a party with no principles or convictions? Why support a party that routinely stabs us in the back? Why vote for a party whose elected officials won’t back the person chosen to be president by the party’s voters?

I think people would exit the GOP in droves in order to get behind a Trump sponsored movement. The GOP would become a carcass.

I do not believe that the Trump forces will be able to take over the GOP. I say this based on the fact that I am close to people who worked inside the GOP and knows who really runs the party. They are never going to allow their party to succumb to the rule of “outsiders”.

You can take that to the bank.

I called Sen Perdue’s Atlanta office on his vote and interestingly enough, they had no info on the vote. But they assured me they would call me as soon as the info becomes available...........

The size, scope and power of the federal government is largely responsible for the mess we’re in. Fedzilla tries to be a one-size-fits-all solution to every problem. It simply doesn’t work.

The only thing that can save us is to downsize this federal monstrosity and return the states back to the laboratories that they were supposed to be.

Arlington was purchased from Lee’s son, finally after a drawn out lawsuit over the seizure without due process. Custis Lee sued in a case with assistance from Robert Lincoln that went all the way to the United States Supreme Court to regain title to the family mansion,in 1880. Custis sold the 1100 acres (those not already occupied by graves illegally interred there by a Union officer), and house from that suit— for $150K to the US Government. It no longer belonged to the Lee family.

The house is designated a National Memorial. George Washington Parke Custis the step-grandson and adopted son of George Washington and only grandson of Martha Custis Washington is the reason it is a National Memorial— A National Memorial to George Washington, as it was one of his residences— first and foremost. Lee married Mary Custis, the only daughter of George Custis and then lived in the house.

I didn't say Arlington House belonged to Lee, any more than Fort Bragg, named after Confederate General Braxton Bragg, belongs to the Bragg family.

But the National Park Service has this to say about Arlington House:

https://www.nps.gov/arho/index.htm

Arlington House is the nation’s memorial to Robert E. Lee. It honors him for specific reasons, including his role in promoting peace and reunion after the Civil War. In a larger sense it exists as a place of study and contemplation of the meaning of some of the most difficult aspects of American History: military service; sacrifice; citizenship; duty; loyalty; slavery and freedom.

Ignore the subtleties of why there is a Robert E. Lee National Memorial. Just the fact that a memorial to Robert E. Lee exists is enough for the rabid left.

” ….I do not believe that the Trump forces will be able to take over the GOP. ….”

Then the end has come!

In 2016 remember there was this huge expectation that there was this great untapped source of votes for Trump from the never-vote or rarely-vote crowd. My conclusion is yes they are there but they just don't care. No matter who runs. All of this bores them and they'd rather play video games, watch TV or what not.

If you're taking it to the bank, its a mirage!

I know all that. The rabid left would have to remove the National Memorial to George Washington. The transaction of the re-acquisition of an illegally seized home and land and the subsequent sale to the government, which designated it a National Memorial to our First President is a very large hurdle to jump.

It is as big a one as the Washington Monument (which these a@@holes managed to graffiti with their idiotic slogans. Which is no small federal crime. The political reality is that the demoncrat party is willing to destroy all parts of our history and governmental legal precedents— in order to stay in power. And one other thing- The Constitution provides the remedy against mobocracy under any name, including globalism and media. This will not end well for them— as they campaign on this basis and make their pronouncements to egg on a group of drug addled psychopaths who think they can just take our country from us.
