Exactly; to have this discussion at this point is nothing more than a scathing indictment of failed policies of assimilation. It isn’t slavery or even Jim Crow that is the problem; it is the fact that non-English speaking non-whites from around the world arrive here and quickly pass American blacks on the socio-economic ladder - and there is no way to hide it from them. They patronize businesses in the ‘hood run by these hardworking foreigners who milk them for their public assistance money (because Americans abandoned those areas decades ago), and they RESENT IT.
In 2,000 years you’d see the same discussions, with the same groups lined up with outstretched palms.
The Dems have made a pile of taxpayer money, and careers lasting lifetimes, playing this stupid game; when NYC a few years back had more black abortions than live births, the story died without much buzz because it exposed the Dem strategy. They are replacing blacks with a more docile permanent underclass (primarily Hispanic), and it is working.
