A former judge appointed to oppose the Justice Department’s request to drop its case against Michael Flynn urged sentencing to move ahead in a court filing Wednesday, arguing the government’s request to dismiss the case has only “pretextual” justification.
Ex-Judge John Gleeson said in a DC federal court filing that “[t]he facts surrounding the filing of the Government’s motion constitute clear evidence of gross prosecutorial abuse. They reveal an unconvincing effort to disguise as legitimate a decision to dismiss that is based solely on the fact that Flynn is a political ally of President Trump.”

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan appointed Gleeson, a former U.S. district court judge in New York also known for handling mafia cases as a prosecutor, to oppose the Justice Department’s request to drop the case. Both Sullivan and Gleeson were nominated to be judges by former President Bill Clinton.

Judge Emmet Sullivan should be sitting in jail for what he is trying to do. With no reason, he is trying to try Michael Flynn for what he has no accusers. Former Judege Gleeson was selected for just the reason he is now speaking out. However, this is not legal. If there is no accusation against Michael Flynn, his case must be dismissed. Judge Emmet Sullivan should be disbarred for trying to pull this off. He is an egotistical slob.
How about arrest Gleeson himself and put him in jail with some violent thugs?

The 3-Judge panel from the Circuit Court will grant the writ of mandamus and direct Judge Sullivan to dismiss the case. This will happen within a week. This little charade is about to end.
As has been his strategy all along, I believe DJT is allowing this to play out among the lefturds and will ONLY intervene if the outcome is in opposition to his perception of the truth in the instant case.
I don’t expect DJT to pardon unless Flynn is, in fact, sentenced, and there is no route of appeal.
Sydney Powell is the best mouthpiece Gen Flynn could have, right now. And the Petition for Writ of Mandamus is still in play, regardless of the opinion of these two assclown ‘judges’.

Gleeson actually made the point of this whole charade when he said that “PDJT” can pardon Flynn to make this go away. This is the whole point of Sullivan bringing Gleeson into this. It was/is an attempt to force PDJT to pardon Flynn so that there can be 24/7 talking points about “corrupt PDJT” and favoritism for politically connected folks. Most of the “briefing” was an attack on PDJT’s actions as purely political.
Real Americans urge that scumbag dirty “judge” John Gleeson be beaten and hanged in response to his corrupt posturings over the Flynn case.

Somebody tell this fool that inthe face of overwhelming evidence of prosecutorial misconduct and innocence of the defendant the the charges were dropped. There is no longer a case to adjudicate.
He is 66. I do not know how he became retired. He was appointed by Bill Clinton and left office 3/9/2016. That was before Trump was even elected. This is from Wikipedia: On January 4, 2016, it was announced that Gleeson planned to resign from the bench and return to private practice on March 9, 2016. He joined white shoe firm Debevoise & Plimpton to practice white-collar crime defense.
