I made my kids watch cops when they were young to let them see what drugs and alcohol do to you. It is better than any class they took in school.

I was at a scout meeting years ago with my son. As we were packing up, a methhead came stumbling in saying something about a guy stealing his last $5.00 and getting kicked out of his apartment. Our meeting was in a community center and the methhead wanted to spend the night.
We told him no and offered to call the cops to take him to a shelter. He demanded a blanket and we said no again. No blankets here now leave.
After Mr. Meth finally left, we used the opportunity to discuss drugs.
