Protests around the United States are boiling over after Minneapolis man George Floyd was killed by police. Floyd, accused of using a counterfeit $20 bill, had his neck compressed by an officers knee while in handcuffs for roughly nine minutes before later dying. Other recent instances of racism against African Americans in the country have led to massive protests against police brutality and systemic, institutional racism that many feel have gone unchecked for decades.
In 2019 data of all police killings in the country compiled by Mapping Police Violence, black Americans were nearly three times more likely to die from police than white Americans. Other statistics showed that black Americans were nearly one-and-a-half times more likely to be unarmed before their death. ....................... [more at the link]

Using the Statistica numbers for 2017 there were 457 police related deaths of whites and 223 for blacks.
If you relate that to arrest numbers from the FBI Table 43 for 2017 there were 82 deaths per million arrests of whites and 100 deaths per million arrest for blacks.
Considering that lethal force is linked to serious crime, blacks in 2017 were arrested 5,000 times for murder and whites 4,000 times. So 82 versus 100 isn’t that much different. Cops don’t kill people without a confrontation and arrests are thae reason. for contact.
Deaths per population numbers are meaningless. Both populations have a large majority of law abiding citizens. Out of 200 million whites there were 5.6 million arrests on 2017 and there were 2.2 million arrests for blacks out of a population of 42 million. Many arrests were no doubt the same individual multiple times, but if that weren’t the case the arrest percentages for whites was 2.8% and for blacks 5.2%.
Most law abiding people don’t personally know anyone who has been arrested this year.
“Dr. Keyes, would you be upset if a police officer stopped you because you were black?”
“Yes, Id be upset. Id be upset at all of the young black men who committed crimes and caused authorities to look upon me more suspiciously.”
This data contradicts other reports I’ve seen on these forums.
These protests are riots, and these riots have nothing to do with George Floyd. Why would a protester burn down a black business?
When thugs in the black community slaughtered 7000 of their fellow black citizens last year it was called 'gun violence'.
When cops killed 10 unarmed black men in 2019 the liars, bullshitters, and biased jerks in the press (MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, and Washington Post) called it murder.
Why not 'gun violence'?
Let's get unbiased terms guys... New York Times and Washington Post - pretend you're still journalists... Pull out your style Book and make it consistent.
The headline is a lie, so I stopped right there.
A. Black Americans 2.5X More Likely Than Whites to Be Killed By Police
B. Black Americans 2.5X More Likely Than Whites to be arrested for committing crimes.
C. Black Americans 2.5X More Likely Than Whites to have illegitimate children.
I’ll bet one or more of these statements is true.
One of my friends was the Police Commissioner for Baltimore City post Freddy Grey. What you are stating here is pretty much what he told me as a significant number of the African American (AA) population and even some police are involved in Drug trafficking and that the violence and arrest levels were high there because of the numbers plain and simple. The lack of social mobility due to cultural issues in the AA community are big drivers in this and have been for awhile. It is not racism but these inconvenient truths.

Yes, Post 3
And that is a reason why we will never hear an honest discussion about race.
“They want even number no matter what the circumstances. The only real solution is to kill more white people.”
No, the only real solution is to stop going along with the insanity of the Marxocrats and stop eating up buckets of their bullschitt, as if they ever know what the eff they babble about. Stop accepting the nonsense that these crazy people are anything other than stark raving mad.
I know I did not get you all addressees herer.|
But I’m glad to see many of your comments joining me in noting, in different ways, how the Statista data, chart and comments present a false picture, because while representing black per capita share of the population, they leave out black per capita share of crime, which is where most civilian encounters with police come from.
By disconnecting the theme from crime, Mr. Roper disconnects the rates of blacks encounters with police from the causes of 99% of those encounters. He tells less than half the truth when he does that.
Blacks have a much higher rate of contact with police! Why? Because they commit more CRIMES!
WHY? Because they are always “chillin” and smokin weed! Protestin and lootin.
It’s normal for black makes to have “rap” sheets. It’s normal for them to have committed crimes and perhaps some felonies. It’s normal to father children from multi women. Hey it’s no big deal. The BLM movement is trying to normalize thuggery.
If the APB says a black man 6 foot 185 pounds you don’t look for a white dude
The stats in this are wrong, whites are more likely.
The fuzz is supposed to be bad news,
—Bro. Dave Gardner
I don’t even agree with the statistic that blacks are more likely to be killed by cops than whites even taking crime rates into account. I could be wrong but that’s not what I had gleaned when reading about crime statistics.
The first thing I was taught in statistics class was how easy it is to manipulate the numbers to get the results you want. That’s why I pay no attention polling results. November 2016 is a prime example.
Also, not what Mark Levin was quoting the other day regarding stats.
