I don’t know why people keep on talking about term limits. I’m OK with it as long as government employees and judges are term-limited. 10 years and out. Otherwise, the Deep State and the life term judges are in charge. NYC’s De Blasio is the result of term limits. When legislators aren’t motivated by the need to think long term, they will burn the place to the ground before bowing out. That is the meaning of all the nutty things NYC’s local pols have been doing in recent decades.

Latin America is the poster boy for term limits. Europe has none. Say what you will about Europe, but if I had to choose, it would be Europe over Latin America. Democracies have built-in term limits. They’re called elections.
