Yes, they are. Trump is talking about cranking up the MAGA rallies again. Because of the Covid lockdown, there will be a new dynamic. The media will freak out about all the people at the rally not social distancing, etc., blah, blah, blah. Except, when they show what is happening, it will be the first time his rallies are shown widely on the news. Many CNN, CBS watchers will be shocked to see how many people attend. I hope he holds 2-3 rallies per week until the election.

Being “tied” in popular vote, means that the Dem will win NY, Mass, and California by wide margins, and lose all the “swing states”.
If it is a long night it will be because the networks won’t call the swing States for Trump until the last minute.
No, it won’t be close enough to contest. Trump is going to add to his electoral college total.
Unfortunately it’s very unlikely that equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans vote. Usually its around D+5 in Presidential election years.
They said the same thing about trump. Biden’s the nominee. I really wish it was bernie to save down ballots specifically senate seats.
I first made this prediction a year ago when Biden was much stronger then he is today.
Binden’s (and Sander’s) role was/is to block anyone else from getting the nomination.
Our primary system is broken. Both parties know this. The whole process begins too early and is too expensive. And that is just to get the nomination.
The process is brutal to those running as each candidate attacks the other. The “debates” are a losing proposition as each candidate is forced to move further and further left. By the nominee is voted on at the convention he has already ran a brutal campaign and lot of their skeletons been exposed, and they have to start over again for the big one in November. There should be away to tweak the system.
So it has been my theory that the Democrats put Biden in to first suck up the money, and air time. With the media supporting him it was difficult for any challenger to bring him down
However, Biden entered the race with enough baggage to sink any normal candidate yet here we are, he appear to be the Democrat’s candidate...but is he?
If anything the baggage train has gotten large, and now with a credible accusation of sexual misconduct. Add to that his inability to string two sentences together, and not being seen in month is not winning him any new voters.
So my prediction is there is a stealth candidate out there that will be brought in soon (and no it is not Hillary).
Who that person is I don’t know, but I guess who ever he selects as his running mate will be the real candidate.

??? Whatever he is doing is working - he is so much better at handling the fake news media than any Republican since Reagan. I think the shooting from the hip approach that you are calling “foot in mouth” is a deliberate and highly successful strategy.
The Bushes, McCain, Romney - all tried appeasement - they all tried to sound “moderate” and “presidential” in order to try and please the media. They put their fingers in the air to see which way the media wind was blowing, and spoke accordingly.
Did that approach ever work for a Republican? Not even close.
The more they tried to sound compassionate, inclusive, diverse, or whatever, the farther Leftward the media moved the goalpost - they never got any credit for all that appeasement.
The Bushes cozied up with the Clintons, etc., to show how “woke“ they were - but still got called morons and imbeciles by the press. McCain tried to prove how anti-war, environmental, and non-racist he was, but to no avail - they hated McCain’s guts right up until he became a neverTrumper - then it became useful to feign respect to try to divide Republicans.
Romney tried so hard to act like a Democrat but they cast him as an out-of-touch rich white guy anyway - a “one percenter”. Like McCain, the Left feigns respect for Romney while it serves their purpose - but it is fake.
All appeasement does is show weakness and vulnerability - the Left smells blood, doubles down, and goes in for the kill.
Reagan didn’t pull any of that appeasement nonsense and neither is Trump.
From where I’m sitting, it’s working - the Left can’t make a dent - they originally demanded his tax returns because they thought his wealth was a political liability, as if wealth is a terrible thing. Trump just said “yes, I’m incredibly rich - so what?”. So they pulled a 180° and started saying he wasn’t as rich as he claimed... he says one thing, gets one reaction, then says the opposite, gets the opposite reaction - then he just laughs at their utter confusion..
He’s playing the media like a fiddle..

It will only be a long night because the media will deem the swing states as to close to call....once Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania go Trump....it’s over.
True, but Dems are concentrated in a few solid blue states: CA, OR, WA, IL, NY. Electoral College evens the playing field. Most reputable pollsters (may be an oxymoron), know this and adjust their models accordingly.
Let ‘em fret over the national polls, 46% this, 42% that, 52% whatever.
Meanwhile, Trump will be focused on the only number that counts: 270.
