In the next step of a race already on pace to become the most expensive in South Carolina history, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham has defeated three little-known GOP challengers, the last marker ahead of an expected general election face-off with Democrat Jaime Harrison.
Graham, 64, bested fellow Republicans Duke Buckner, Michael Lapierre and Joe Reynolds in Tuesdays primary election. Harrison was unopposed in his primary, and two Libertarians and one Constitution Party candidate have also filed to seek the seat.

damn.
Too bad.
He will push for amnesty as soon as the general election is over.
Easy to win in a rigged election with three opponents IMHO.
Not because of me. I voted against him.
Yep the GOPe split the vote again
Easy to win in an open primary state where Dems get to vote for the Republican of their choice.
I went to the same senior center to vote where I have voted for more than 25 years. It was locked up tight and a sign said the voting precinct had `temporarily’ moved to a location miles away. No, I didn’t vote today. F*** me.
trump strongly endorsed him. I guess some on FR consider themselves smarter than DJT.
Trump endorsed McCain and Romney.
youre obviously one of those that think theyre smarter than trump.
Good ol Lindsey. Obvious why he’s been talking right the last few days. Now, he’ll likely go back to being dependable “swamp rat” Lindsey.
Open Primaries need to be abolished nationwide.
Little Linda Grahamnesty and many many RINO’s benefit from this abomination is Red states where the dems KNOW they will lose and they vote for the republican in the race that most closely meets with their agenda.
Many RINO’s maintain their seats with the assistance of dems in open primary elections.
This explains greatly their behavior in office once the election cycle is over.
We are. Want to discuss his picks with mad dog mattis, scaramuchi, amarrosa and about 2 dozen others? He suppoer Mitt as well.
So, the 3 opponents who split 33% of the vote to Graham's 67% would have somehow done better if there were only one? In fact, he outdid his previous primary result by 10% and received over 110,000 more votes than 2014. It would seem Graham is pretty popular with SC voters, and they have no desire to replace him...
He’s brilliant at policy.
He makes bad endorsements.
Lindsey Graham will still be better than any dimoKKKRAT. We need to hold the Senate.
Everyone they elect to Washington is a Cheap Labor Express stooge, I guess they like their state overrun with illegal aliens.
That and will suddenly become a little more liberal in everything.
