To: Presbyterian Reporter

Not knowing the rules reminds me of being on a jury many years ago where a lawyer was on trial for defrauding his client.

The defense attorney had the audacity to claim that the fraudulent lawyer did not understand the fraud statutes.

Needless to say, ‘we the jury’ convicted the guy in short order.

If the lawyer couldn’t understand the statute, shouldn’t we blame the law school? And if the law school is guilty, isn’t that an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Presbyterian Reporter, isn’t that an indictment of our entire American society?

Well, you can do whatever you want to him, but I for one am not going to stand here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America! *stomps out of the room*
