I wonder if he was trying to pair his phone to the bluetooth mike data, which would give usable info up to roughly 100 feet. But, wouldn’t the mike have to also be in pairing mode for this to be of any use?
By reports from witnesses on the ground, Gugino showed up 20-30 minutes before curfew (8 pm), and just sat around, waiting. The small group assembled was warned multiple times there was curfew.
Then, at 8 pm, when the police began to move, Gugino sprung into action, approaching the cops with his cell phone.
It does seem far fetched. But I have no better explanation. They should examine the phone.
Did he ride there on a motorcycle? If not, he was equipped for combat with that helmet and went there looking for a fight. Found one but wore the helmet on the wrong appendage.

Bkmrk.

A reporter just happened to be in the perfect spot to see his performance. There was “blood” coming out of his ear and on the ground less than 3 seconds after hitting the ground. Complete setup! The President is right.
Expose these fakes whenever you can.
I don’t know about the phone stuff, but Gugino was very reckless.
Old men fall over very easily. The skin on their scalp is very thin. When cut, it bleeds profusely.
The cop- shove was minimal. The cops looked very surprised that it was enough force to knock him over.
Moral of this story: Old hippies should stay home, and watch the show on CNN.
