Didn’t both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union demand people’s struggle enhancing themes in all painting and other art?

Instead of an artist painting a young maiden gazing at the seagulls over a lake they showed people working to help the 5 Year Agricultural Plan by pulling a plow themselves if their tractor died out. And triumphant, inspirational portraits of their leaders.

Soon no police, no shows showing white people as anything but criminals will be allowed on Netflix etc. Or else Netflix goes dark.

If you’d like detective stories set in Nazi Germany, check out the Bernie Gunther books by Philip Kerr. Lots of moral ambiguity.
