In 1945 British voters were tired of “blood, toil, tears, and sweat” and brought in Clement Attlee who promised them milk & honey & an end to wartime austerity.
Attlee failed miserably to do so and Sir Winston was voted back into office in 1951. He finally ended wartime rationing in 1954.
Too bad his grandson is watching Britain descend into madness, which is already defined as the modern UK authoritarian state where the slightest criticism of Islam online will have the police at your door.
