"Bad break for a bad cop, but according to the law to take your victim as you find him."

You aren't getting it. The cop and his bruhs are going to walk. He is charged with 2nd degree murder.

Looks good for the DA. The DA has to prove INTENT. The DA won't, because the dead'un wasn't healthy enough to be doing any crime, and the cop couldn't know that. The cop can't be charged with any lesser crime, after he is innocent of the murder charge, because that is double jeopardy.

Minneapolis will burn, and this time, no cops to stop it.

Note to self: Buy S'mores makings.

I agree that the 2nd Degree Murder is an overcharge not supported by the evidence we've been told about.

However, I read he was also charged with 3rd Degree Murder and Manslaughter. So, the jury will get instructions for those lesser included offenses and would likely convict on one of them.

The cases against the other officers, especially the two rookies, seem exceptionally thin and I agree they will likely walk.

It also indicates that despite horrible optics, Chauvin seems to have applied the MOD approved restraint correctly.
