What you have is a Trump trap. If he does nothing and let the city burn he is week and ineffective. If he sends in troops to handle the situation he is a tyrant and loses the trust of the American people.
And so President Trump needs to continue to act behind the scenes rounding up those people organizing and manipulating the situation.
At the same time he must take ownership of the issue. He can not continue to play defense or they will continue to call all the plays.

The one long-term take out of all of this is the sheer lack of protection by LE, governors and mayors. Protection that should have been there that taxpayers have footed the bill for in taxes. This is very telling. The next bond issue/tax increase for fire, police, etc. in every single one of these locations needs to be voted down. These mayors and governors need to be voted out. It says that local neighborhoods are on their own to protect themselves by whatever means necessary. Some neighborhoods saw it coming and formed small militias to protect what they’ve worked their whole lives for including protecting their loved ones.
