I suggest that this July 4th be declared “A Day without Police” and leave it to the lefties how best to function in their cesspools without protection.

Jim you hit on something which is why I was cautioning conservatives on demanding the National Guard or active duty force deploys for this. Let the local and state “leaders” clean up their own mess. I bet many of them secretly wanted Trump to use the Insurrection Act, so that they could have their cake and eat it too—the Feds clean up the problem, and the mayors could say “we’re still super duper woke, we’d be fine with you rioting but Orange Man Bad stopped us!” They want it both ways. Not happening.
Trump needs to veto Pelosi’s next $3 trillion bailout bill for state and local governments.
The heart of the problem is that they do not “ask us to pay.” The Left controls the House, and will do whatever they want to steal from the rest of the country. via taxes, what their constituents (rioters, looters) have not stolen or destroyed from their own cities. This is their version of Urban Renewal.
What you have is a Trump trap. If he does nothing and let the city burn he is week and ineffective. If he sends in troops to handle the situation he is a tyrant and loses the trust of the American people.
And so President Trump needs to continue to act behind the scenes rounding up those people organizing and manipulating the situation.
At the same time he must take ownership of the issue. He can not continue to play defense or they will continue to call all the plays.
The issue is racial equality and treatment of minority groups in the United States. One thing to remember and lesson we should have learned from Clinton. Symbolism over substance goes a long way with the voting public.

There is NONE of that going on in the press or media.
I’m seeing some stuff from tweets and other non-mainstream postings but the press is intentionally suppressing the massive damage and destruction out of the minds of the public so they can have their “it was peaceful protesting”
And, of course, all curfews were caused because the police started beating up the protesters.

Agree, and this why I’ve been saying, and hear me out, the right should co-opt the phrase “Black Lives Matter.” Who cares if someone says it? It’s just words. Sticks and stones. So, let’s start saying Black Lives Matter and use it to shine light on out of control crime in Chicago, black police officers who have been murdered, and so on. It’s like judo. Don’t stop your opponent’s momentum. Use their momentum to your advantage.

The one long-term take out of all of this is the sheer lack of protection by LE, governors and mayors. Protection that should have been there that taxpayers have footed the bill for in taxes. This is very telling. The next bond issue/tax increase for fire, police, etc. in every single one of these locations needs to be voted down. These mayors and governors need to be voted out. It says that local neighborhoods are on their own to protect themselves by whatever means necessary. Some neighborhoods saw it coming and formed small militias to protect what they’ve worked their whole lives for including protecting their loved ones. THIS is what the democratic party has brought to America. The same group that wants total disarmament of the public. NOW, they know why we need 30-round magazines.

Corona/Floyd super storm “crisis” is the left and NeverTrump cabal’s blitzkrieg against President Trump. Maybe locally some of these scum will be thrown out of office but I doubt it. As for the nation as a whole, President Trump has been magnificent and those who support him show equally incredible restraint. Congress hid away as parts of the country are in liberal anarchy. I believe we are in quasi civil war and the Republic is in peril. The only thing we can control is protecting and defending our god given inalienable rights under the Constitution and making sure President Trump is given another four years as our President. This will rebuke the treasonous swamp scum who advocate American rot and destruction for their personal and political gains.
