There were no press conferences tagging household name status to the police chief, the mayor nor the governor all of who are responsible for these known criminals working as police officers.
This local government was responsible for toning this down immediately, taking blame, pointing out that chauvin, with other deaths on his watch was not motivated in this case by racism (if he was not) and perhaps motivated by personal vendetta against someone he worked with at a bar...(?)
