Anyone who has ever been on 16th St. in front of the White House has seen the men walking around on the roof. I don’t think they’re up there just for the view.
No, they most certainly aren't.
Went to DC a couple years after 9/11 with our young kids and took them to the front gates at the White House to show them where President W lived. While we were there, our youngest notice there were people on top of the House walking around. The kids were all smiles and amazed so we told them to wave at them and say hi.
They waved back at us......it was a mixture of a WOW moment for the kids and a Holy Sh!t moment for the spouse and I. I left there wondering if the guards on the roof got a good laugh out of the mixed looks on our faces.
