Hopefully people will turn off games especially on days such as Thanksgiving and return to the basics of what is important.
Right now people are finding others uses for their time instead of watching hours of commercials interrupted by brief intervals of bread & circuses. Just as commercials see certain minorities as the best targets because they are among the last demographic that even watches regular TV, sports are realizing the same thing.
For all of its shortcomings, soccer still only has commercials at halftime.
