Same here. But... my opinion is backed up by personal history. I haven't been jumped and beaten by Asians. I haven't been robbed by Asians. My mother was knocked to the ground and purse-snatched, but it wasn't Asians. My mother had her car stolen from a market parking lot and the thief almost ran her over, and it wasn't an Asian. My wife (before I met her), got jumped and beaten on a bus and it wasn't Asians. All the perps were black people. And they wonder why non-blacks are leery of approaching blacks. That's not racism by non-blacks, it's fear.
Fear... or at least caution.
The two robbers who ran out of places I lived when they were surprised were black.
The thing is, its entirely reasonable to protest police brutality. While I’m pro-law and order, I’m friendly but cautious around cops I don’t know. They can easily go off into authoritarian mode. To some extent I don’t blame them, and I know its a tough job.
But, to protest for better training and more accountability is to go up against the law enforcement establishment and union. They won’t change easily because you scream and yell, or carry signs, or bust up Main Street.
Who kneeled on Floyd’s neck? Very red-state Minneapolis police. Not me. Not every white who thinks their lives matter (”All lives matter” seems to be a firing offense).
