The arrests of the three other Minneapolis police officers connected to George Floyd's death and the upgraded charge against former officer Derek Chauvin is just the beginning for Floyd's family. Justice, for them, includes convictions.
"We have to have justice. They murdered him in broad daylight in front of everybody," Floyd's brother Philonise told CBS News correspondent Jeff Pegues. The charge against Chauvin, who pressed his knee into Floyd's neck while he was handcuffed and pleading for air, was upgraded to second-degree murder, while the other officers were charged with aiding and abetting murder.

This guy was on meth and opioids at time of arrest. He resisted arrest. There is room for reasonable doubt that no crime was commuted by the officer. The prosecution must prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the officer committed a crime. The medical evidence and testimony will be very important in raising doubt or establishing no doubt with the cause of death and details.
Although, at this point, getting a jury who has not made up their mind prior to trial, and can withstand the pressure that will be put on them to actually listen to the evidence and make an informed decision using only that which is entered into evidence, well that is going be a challenge.
Haven’t seen much presumption of innocence. Guess that is an old fashioned concept - let’s just go with what the media says and take it from there.
These people do not understand justice and laws at all. If Chauvin is char3ged with First Degree Murder, he will be acquitted and will walk.
I have no doubt at this point that this entire George Floyd thing is it set up
I think the dude was on so many drugs that he ended up dying I dont think the cops intended to kill him but I think the whole video with the knee on the neck and him crying for mommy and everything was all planned from the get-go
Bless his heart.
The closer you get to first degree, the harder it is to convict. Maybe, as Glenn Beck observed this morning, this is a radical’s dream — overcharge, have him found not guilty, and create even more unrest.
However,it should be noted that the dead guys heirs have surely won the lottery.Five million...maybe even more.
That is their goal ... more riots and destruction.

George Floyd’s brother calls for first-degree murder charge

Well if George Floyd’s brother says it, then by all means... /s
Do you think Chauvin did this as a pre-planned event?
It seems to me that if Chauvin was such a bad apple and had been written up for previous incidents, then wouldn’t his superiors all the way up to and including the Police Chief be culpable for keeping this loose cannon on the streets?
If he and the other three officers on scene are being tried for everything but spitting on the sidewalk, shouldn’t there be some “aiding and abetting” charges against their superiors as well?
Just sayin’.
Either way that cop is dead meat. In or outta the slammer.
“”””””Ill be charitable and presume that Floyds brother does not understand the different degrees of charge and the standards applied to each of them.””””””””””
The idiot Nancy Grace was calling for first degree murder charges right away.
Of course she is the same idiot who ranted and spewed her hatred saying the Duke LaCrosse boys were guilty, too.
She, like many others I could mention, don’t need facts or an investigation before coming to a conclusion of guilt.
I have no idea, but I do know that anything is possible with the left. They don't think like us.
Philonise? Seriously?
Is this the same brother who has a GoFundMe account with about 10 million dollars in it?
Phil-on-ice?
Phelonies? (felonies)
Trying to understand the structure and intent of this name, and this is all I can come up with.
Guaranteed he will NEVER be convicted of first degree. In a year we are right back here.
Charge them for first degree and watch them walk. Another riot.
that is their plan ...
