Majority of African Americans mostly satisfied with local police department: Poll

A majority of African Americans are satisfied with the performance of local police departments serving the areas in which they live, according to a new poll.

A total of 72% of black citizens indicated they are somewhat satisfied with their local police, with the same number of white citizens saying the same, according to a Monmouth University poll released this week.

Many blacks simply do not understand how badly they are being manipulated, used and abused by the Left.

On the part of the world I live in (the South), police departments and sheriff’s department’s have significant numbers of blacks on the force and many have black chiefs.

I think most sane and reasonable people understand that policing is a very tough job, carried out by human beings who are imperfect.

I was fairly satisfied with my local police department until a few years ago. The police chief would hold CCW classes to help people get concealed carry permits. It was free to residents, with a nominal fee for non-residents. He was a great guy who was really convinced that citizens were assets, and that the police and the citizens were partners in keeping the city safe. He knew that the vast majority of folks are law abiding, and the biggest 'problem' is teenagers being teenagers.

Unfortunately he retired. Was replaced by a guy that was ex-DEA. Don't really hear much about community involvement anymore. Several really great cops left the force. (Lots of grumbling about a change from a 'peace officer' to 'law enforcement' mentality amongst the cops I know).

So, sadly, I am not really nearly as satisfied with my local police as I once was.

This is why they keep re-electing the same people. They are not actually upset about it. They are of course outraged when innocent people are murdered, or people are killed who did minor things (as we all are), but they wouldn’t be protesting. It is 10% of the other 23% that are protesting, along with a bunch of white people who like to burn black neighborhoods and get black people killed.

Remember, the protesters are a minor number of people relative to the population. And a lot of them are white, who have been fed the whole “police are evil” narrative, and are happy to go protest, especially since they are really bored on lockdown, getting paid not to work, and this is the only legal way to be in groups with their friends.

I have facebook friends who talk about going to DC every night, to peacefully protest, and how much fun they are having hanging out with people.
