Mattis is a lifelong registered Democrat. In the beginning of President Trump’s presidency, he brought into his administration a number of democrats and establishment Republicans. He thought this would helpful for unity.
Limbaugh spoke of this numerous times. He went on a golf weekend with the president 9 months after his inauguration and the president talked of his surprise at the fact that 9 months after that the level of partisanship hadn’t leveled out. In fact, it was getting worse.
Rush told president Trump that it will never get better as long as he is in office. Rush told him that it’s not just dems who are not your friends. It’s establishment republicans also.
President Trump he said, was saddened to hear Rush’s assessment as he really thought that after the election he would be accepted as the President.
Rush has told his audience in the months that have passed and with the 24/7 hatred President Trump has gone through he is now well aware of the depths of hatred and backstabbing that is the DC Swamp.

I haven’t heard a single person say that what happened to George Floyd was acceptable on any level. But anyone who cannot draw a distinction between peaceful protest and criminal behavior doesn’t deserve a platform to spew forth rhetoric that only serves to further divide our nation.
Mattis forgets that Trump was his superior, and Trump’s orders are not mere suggestions.
