Keith Ellison first dicovered Islam in 1982 as a sophomore at Wayne State University He became a practising Muslim, and was also the sports editor for the student newspaper the South End. . .When the Africana Student Cultural Center sponsored speeches by Farrakhan and one of his associates, tensions erupted on campus between Jews and African Americans. Ellison, who had taken to calling himself “Keith Hakim,” published a series of op-eds in the student paper, the Minnesota Daily, defending the Nation of Islam leader. The center also invited Kwame Ture, the black-power activist formerly known as Stokely Carmichael, to give a speech, during which he called Zionism a form of white supremacy. Ellison, then a member of the Black Law Student Association, introduced him. . .Ellison envisioned a unified front of young black people, white progressive students, organized labor, and American Indians pushing back against the evils of capitalism and white supremacy. “The more the right attacks, the more we have to respond.” Ellison and Chris Nisan’s protests did win a victory, albeit a limited one. Four of the five students arrested at the hotel were acquitted of their misdemeanor charges, and Minneapolis set up an independent, if weak, review board to investigate police brutality claims. In 1990, Ellison helped launch the Coalition for Police Accountability, which organized community meetings and published a quarterly newspaper, Cop Watch. . .1992–Ellison appears as speaker at demonstration against Minneapolis police with Vice Lords leader Sharif Willis following the murder of Officer Haaf by four Vice Lords gangsters in September. 1993–Ellison leads demonstration chanting “We don’t get no justice, you don’t get no peace” in support of Vice Lords defendant on trial for the murder of Officer Haaf. Ellison attends Gang Summit in Kansas City with Willis. . .The various themes of Ellison's public commitments and associations all came together in a February 2000 speech he gave at a fundraising event sponsored by the Minnesota chapter of the far-left National Lawyers Guild, on whose steering committee he had served. The event was a fundraiser for former Symbionese Liberation Army member Kathleen Soliah after her apprehension in St. Paul (under the name "Sara Jane Olson") for the attempted murder of Los Angeles police officers in 1975. Ellison weirdly referred to Soliah/ Olson as a "black gang member" (she is white) and thus a victim of government persecution. He described her as one of those who had been "fighting for freedom in the '60s and '70s" and called for her release. (She subsequently pleaded guilty to charges in Los Angeles and to an additional murder charge in Sacramento; she is serving time in California.) Still toeing the Nation of Islam line, he recalled "Qubilah Shabazz, the daughter of Malcolm X, [who] was prosecuted in retribution against Minister Farrakhan." He also spoke favorably of cop killers Mumia Abu-Jamal and Assata Shakur. (Shakur has been on the lam in Cuba since 1984; last year she was placed on the FBI's domestic terrorists list with a one million dollar reward for her capture.)[18] . . .Keith Ellison penned an article in the Communist Party USA's People's World of August 29, 2014, on the rise of "people's movements" in the United States. . .: KeyWiki: Keith Ellison

Why is it that a man is killed by a cop and it is determined....by someone....to be a racial attack. And it is further levied by baiters like Obama:

“Former president Barack Obama said Friday he shared the “anguish” of millions of Americans over the death of a black man killed by police in Minnesota and that racism cannot be “normal” in the United States.

“This shouldn’t be ‘normal’ in 2020 America,” Obama said of the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd and several other recent racial incidents in the country.”

What shouldn’t be normal is the existence of rogue cops just like any other business that is people oriented. There was no racial slurs identified or any other action that could identify it as a racial crime.

The two pulled up in a car while the officers were trying to arrest a looter. They stopped the car and though the windows started yelling at the cops. The cops told them to move on, they refused, so when the car was approached by the cops, they rolled up the windows to try to stop any action toward them after they were screaming at the cops to let the looter go and offered to drive the looter away to safety. They started to drive away when the cops approached them but the got snarled in traffic. A police report says Young was charged with attempting to elude police and driving with a suspended license. He, also, put his hand in his pocket when the cops were trying to get him out of the car. That’s an open invitation...but it’s not racial.

Police violence it is. But nothing in that says racial. Just another example of spin to create problems for people and cover their pandemic screw ups, after their impeachment screw up, after their failed effort to cover up Bidens actions concerning the Ukraine.....more. So they pull the old standby...the race card whether it exists or not.
