(CNN)Dutch authorities believe a mink may have infected a human with Covid-19, and are instituting mandatory testing at all mink farms in the Netherlands. "On the basis of new research results from the ongoing research into Covid-19 infections at mink farms, it is plausible that an infection took place from mink to human," the Dutch government said in a statement late Tuesday night. "It also appears from this research that minks can have Covid-19 without displaying symptoms." The government said antibody testing of minks would be expanded to "all mink farms in the Netherlands and will become mandatory."
The government also said it believes cats may be playing a role in the spread of the virus between farms. "Ongoing research shows the viruses at two of the infected farms are very similar," the statement said. Covid-19 was found in three out of 11 cats at one mink farm, it said. "In the course of this investigation, it is advised that infected mink farms ensure that cats cannot enter or leave the farm premises."

Farms. As in the mink live in cages and go nowhere to contract it. More likely infected humans gave it to them and the cats.
I have no idea. Thought the article was interesting. Hard to find any truth about anything anymore. Once they get rid of Trump, maybe 5% of news will be truth instead of .01% now. I don’t know.
Minkya,
I’ve read that in the Amazon region of Brazil, if a girl gets pregnant before she’s married, to save face she will claim the father is a dolphin. (Yes, there are dolphins - pink ones - in the amazon river, and no, I don’t know why that would allow her to save face.) So maybe something like that is going on in this case, with the person getting the Covid and claiming that a mink gave it to him/her. Or something :)
So don’t wear mink.
A mink will mess you up.
Is this fake news pushed by PETA?
(I don’t mean MY branch of PETA,
People Eating Tasty Animals),
the ‘other’ PETA.
Need some pics of the PETA ‘cuties’ doffing their minks ...
I never knew, or I might not remember, her name.
But she WAS a minx. So, were both right.
First thing that came to my mind too...
