"The Purge" continues to spread.

I’m surprised that the NYC rioters have not torn down a statue of FDR for his role in Japanese internment.

Just imagine the outrage if a statue of MLK was torn down.
These asswipes are going to rue the day.

Taking down yet another statue only increases the Lefts hunger. Their goal, as stated by the None, is to fundamentally transform our country.

They probably removed it not for the reasons stated, but because Rizzo the ‘rat became a RINO towards the end of his life.

FDR for his role in Japanese internment.
Oh,Asians are generally intelligent, and hard working. they don't fit in with the entitlement mentality, so they don't mind their internment, and will leave that socialist statue alone

I'm against removal of historical monuments, statues, etc. They are part of our collective history, and people should not forget, because otherwise we are all doomed to repeat it.
I lived in Philadelphia in the 1970's. Frank Rizzo was a tough cop, and a tough mayor, which in those days was necessary much of the time. But he was not someone to emulate as a person. IMO Frank Rizzo was an a$$hole.
Damn revisionists. Leave the statues alone.

I couldn’t care less, but it’s hilarious seeing what they have to resort to when they don’t have a Confederate one lying around to cry over.
Maybe every heavily-black city in the U.S. should get a Confederate statue just for inevitable race-based riots, and then hopefully the rioters can vent their anger on it instead of local businesses.

At least Rizzo didn t firebomb an entire neighborhood to the ground and kill a bunch of children in the process. Frank and his brother Rizzo ain’t got nothing on abusing the black community when compared to Wilson Goode.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rizzo seemed to embrace controversy. "I'm going to make Attila the Hun look like a faggot," he once told a newspaper reporter. But he was a democrat, so that's ok. lol

If Rizzo was Mayor of Philly right now, this crap would not be tolerated

Yeah, not so much on “don’t mind their internment.” It’s not just George Takei.

Oh...
Rizzo
I thought the statue would have been of Goode.
He was the ‘Major(sic)’ when they(THE CITY) burned down a few blocks of ‘bad neighborhood’ after dropping incendiary’s on a house loaded with explosives...etc....
(So much for scouting out your enemy and knowing his strengths and weaknesses)
HMMM May 13 was the 35th anniversary....Philly ‘missed’ the celebration by a few days...
Wonder if they had a celebration for ‘MOVE’

Frank Rizzo’s daughter was my wife’s english teacher at Bishop McDevitt High School. Excellent school teacher. Always conducted herself in a humble and gracious manner toward everyone. She must have kept that racist attitude under wraps?/s

Over 10,000 rounds of ammunition were fired at the Move house in order to kill or drive those attempting to escape the burning house back inside to burn to death. Like a black urban Waco Branch Davidian operation, only ten years earlier.
