New York Times Magazine reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones drew backlash on Tuesday when she claimed that the destruction of property "is not violence"
During an interview with CBSN, Hannah-Jones was asked how the rioting and looting from the George Floyd protests should be "interpreted."
"I think we need to be very careful with our language," the Times Magazine reporter responded. "Yes, it is disturbing to see property being destroyed, it's disturbing to see people taking property from stores, but these are things."

If someone took something of hers, I bet she’d have a major hissy fit, though.
She would indeed.
I guess that logic is cool with abortion clinics?
Idiot Nikole Hannah-Jones, what does she have to say about the beatdown of an small elderly store-owner asking black hoodlums not to loot and destroy her store? That’s not violence? I think that NY Times reporter should have her home destroyed and herself suffer a beatdown by black hoodlums. But she’s an idiot, so she’ll probably grin and bear it.
If that's the case we need to try an experiment and see what the NY Times thinks when there printing presses are destroyed.
We need to validate that dingbats theory.
Silence, words, and whiteness are violence according to the left. Arson and looting are not violence according to them. 1984's NewSpeak is with us today.
Never has there been a better time, or more of a need, for someone like this fool to be attacked by the same peaceful protesters that have bashed, beaten, and permanently maimed legitimate small business owners, men and women, white and minority citizens, as happened to Mr. Kim in D.C. if front of his Mac Market on Sunday. Why do innocent people suffer so much, and liars and criminals escape the retribution they so justly deserve?
I don’t wish harm on this idiot but it would be nice if we didn’t have to read her idiocies.
Yikes! That’s not a hyperbole.
Yet another example of mainstream blacks supporting black thuggery and black entitlement.
Hope a palate of bricks shows up on her front lawn soon.
But shes an idiot, so shell probably grin and bear it.

yes Jim Jones liberals.
There was a talk-show guy in Seattle years ago that termed this kind of stuff (stealing, vandalism, and even taxes) in respect to the impact it had on his “life energy”).
The idea that he had spend some, or much of his life to work and earn that money. And when the objects or money is taken away - he is losing some of his life. Hence it is a serious matter. (And with taxes - it is around 50%!)
And in the same breath this useful idiot would say speech is violence.
They lie all the time, folks. Buy weapons and ammo, folks.

so burning down the NYTimes building would
“not be violence” but a type of new vitamin?
This insufferable prick should read this list:

There is a saying that goes something like this:
It depends on whose Ox is being gored.
It’s the same psychological violence felt by those who have their churches or homes burned. Or their wallet or purse stolen. To discount it as ‘just stuff’ is arrogant, with a strong tinge of racism. “just stuff” assumes that white folk can easily replace and dismiss the violence as if they aren’t entitled to an emotional response of their own, as if they are second-class citizens.
