Darn. He should have waited for today when it came out that was all fake news.

Exactly! The U.S. Park Police reported that "many" in the crowd in Lafayette Park on June 1, 2020, started to get violent at 6:33 pm ET. The crowd wasn't entirely "peaceful" by any means (I saw this myself on Fox News' live coverage).

The U.S. Park Police also reported that they did NOT use tear gas (I don't know about the rubber bullets). They said they used "smoke cannisters and pepper balls" to disperse the crowd.
