It only makes sense.

Earlier they reported 2,000 people crossing the Manhattan Bridge. Then there were reports of groups of 200-400 people scattered across the lower east side, 14th, 16th, 24th streets and Lafayette.

Now they're heading towards Times Square on the west side, up to 34th street.

Not sure what there is in Brooklyn to destroy. They're heading to the rich part of NYC. If they are going there, the scanner channel on the internet isn't broadcasting those frequencies.

I looked at NY1. I did hear reports of people crossing the Manhattan Bridge towards Manhattan, but the police turned them back.
