Pepper balls will ruin your day just as thoroughly as tear gas. Plus they hurt like a bitch. So it’s a win- win for the police. I’ve been hit by them in training and been around them when deployed. Even incidental contact will do a number on you. They leave a nice welt as a visual marker.
