Well, this is strange, and slightly scary. The Walmart in my city (south of Tacoma) closed at 5pm and set up barricades in front of it. Apparently, rumors of possible riots.
We’re such a small and mostly middle-to-poor town that I’m surprised we’re even thought of.
Same thing happened to us with our Walmart. Had credible threats that the Birmingham crowd was going to go north into suburbs yesterday (we are pretty close to the city limit). They closed at 5 PM. Then we found out there was a curfew at 7 PM. These idiots probably don’t want to come to the suburbs of Birmingham. Just about everyone in the burbs have weapons.
I am in Texas and they are closing them early here too. I believe it is a company wide directive.
