There were some mistakes in initial reports. I saw billows of cloud. Couldn’t tell if smoke, tear gas, or something else. People would run. I have corrected some as they were corrected and I will correct others as they become clear. The 7 hours were NOT spot reports. They were showing various reporters constantly for 10,20,30 minutes continuously moving around and having cameras pointed at them in various directions. Sunday was constant coverage from 9:30 pm to midnight of 3 or 4 reporters for extended periods each. I saw one guy dressed in black smash a window with a pipe. I saw another pick up a piece of burning plywood set on fire from leaning against a burning trash container, and then run and throw it into a building through a broken door. Didn’t look fake to me and I know these streets and buildings. I used to attend a monthly meeting at a building at 16th and I Streets. When I saw these two incidents of vandalism or arson, most of the non-violent protesters had already departed the area.
