I do doubt he was committing any crimes while handcuffed on the ground being murdered.
If only he had not passed the fake 20 and the shop owner had not called the police maybe all of the rioting/protesting and George would still be alive.
Having watched the film it is hard to find any defense of the cop who had a knee on the neck. It should be noted, however, that Floyd was on meth at the time of his death. I was once a loss prevention agent in retail. Most stops we made were pretty calm. Meth addicts are a whole different thing. It would take 5 people to do what usually 2 could handle. They never...never stopped fighting, cuffed or not. Still, we never even cam close to killing anyone. Also, these stops were for shoplifting alone. Meth addicts would almost always attack us.
I am not in anyway excusing the cop. Just adding to the discourse.
