Exactly, like drugs on board would make what the cop did ok.
I would like to see the toxicology reports on the officers present. Did any of them have drugs in their system?

You don’t seem to think too much of Freepers — why are you even raising the possibility that we would want him to die just for using drugs? There MAY be a legitimate issue whether he would have died if he did not have drugs in his body of which the cops were unaware.

Not FOR using drugs. He died BECAUSE he was on drugs.
fentanyl and meth....okay....just ordinary stuff we all use.....
I had to have some major surgery two years back - and Fentanyl was used.
The surgery went well, but in the recovery room, before I was completely out of the anesthetic, my heart almost stopped. I was alert enough to hear the heart monitor beep slowing down, down, down, until only one beep, long pause, and the docs saying “what is going on with her heart” - They started doing something in a big hurry to fix whatever was going wrong.
I don’t think people realize how dangerous this drug is - particularly the Chinese street version of Fentanyl. If I hadn’t been in ICU recovery, I wouldn’t be typing this today, and just so you know, I was flat on my back, with oxygen, and no knee on my neck.
That doesn’t matter, though. People will believe whatever fits their bias. “It isn’t very pretty what a town without pity can do”.
