Here is the thing the state ME would NOT cover to protect the cops in a situation like this when you have someone like Keith Ellison pushing for a murder charge representing the state.
The state has EVERY bit of interest in the state's ME autopsy report to be ON THEIR SIDE and the state ME knows that.

The court will most likely appoint an agreed upon by both sides independent autopsy (once the defense team is set).
