Key races to watch in Tuesday's primaries

Eight states and Washington, D.C., will hold primaries on Tuesday, marking the busiest electoral day since the start of the coronavirus outbreak in mid-March.

Besides presidential contests, the races include a number of congressional primaries, which could have implications for the fight to control the House and Senate in November.

In Iowa, Rep. Steve King (R) will fight to defend his House seat from a GOP challenge from businessman Randy Feenstra, who has been backed by much of the Republican establishment.

Any chance Martha McSally can be defeated in AZ? I think that primary might be in Aug

There is no primary for the Republicans in AZ this year. Can she be defeated? It’s possible.

No. But I plan on voting for Daniel McCarthy.

I’ve had it with McSally’s pathetic, useless, lame, non-campaign. She is like Demented Biteme, hiding out, trying to say as little as possible and above all, not take any strong positions on anything.

Yes. We’ll lose this seat.

Hi Larry.

I’m in PA - eastern Montgomery county - 4th.

Unfortunately, I don’t know who to vote for, or against.

Do you know anything about these races or is there a FReeper you could point me to for some advice?

I don’t. I suggest you put his on chat. You’ll get a dozen responses.

Get back to me if that doesn’t work.

Thanks.

Turns out there were really no choices - only one republican to choose from for each office, unless I knew of someone to write in, which I didn’t.

The delegate and alternate slates were the such that you were supposed to pick three, and there were only three to pick from.

I recognized a few delegate names from 2016 who had declared as #nevertrumpers, or for Kasich or Cruz. But I figure if disloyalty to Trump wasn’t a problem then, it certainly won’t be in 2020.
