Robert Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television, told CNBC on Monday the U.S. government should provide $14 trillion of reparations for slavery to help reduce racial inequality. The wealth divide and police brutality against blacks are at the heart of protests that have erupted across the nation following last weeks killing of George Floyd during an arrest in Minneapolis.
Now is the time to go big to keep America from dividing into two separate and unequal societies, Johnson said on Squawk Box.

Sure...as soon as blacks repay the cost of lives lost, people maimed and wounded property lost or destroyed and the money spent to free them from slavery. When “they” can figure all that out and its accomplished...then we can talk about the other.
Nope
If you want money collect it from the dead
Just forcefully confiscate his money and give it away.
In six months, every neighborhood will look EXACTLY THE SAME, with EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEMS.
Nothing will ever satisfy them
Implacable
Plus they will never give up the race card therefore nothing will ever be enough
just strip em of citizenship and fly them back to the superior homelands of africa
That’s astonishingly bad math, and your statistics are suspect as well.
Give it to them! Then END ALL WELFARE PAYMENTS AND PROGRAMS! ALL OF THEM! Not a single solitary taxpayer dime to any welfare programs. This would actually be a good thing in my opinion. Sink or swim time kiddies.
And my grandparents came from Sicily in the 1900s.
In fact I think we were the slaves in Italy
Excellent
Since my great-great-grandfather died fighting against slavery in the Civil War, where do they send my check??
Theyve already received since 1964, almost 30 trillion via welfare , Medicaid, food stamps, housing etc etc etc.
All it has done is destroy families, increased crime and create a class of uncivilized violent people.
Let those slaves come forward and get their reparations.
I was wondering how long it would take for this!
If we do that Im buying stock in Nike and Sony
The fellow is worth $600 million. How was he able to make that since the US is racist....
The inequality is based in DNA. So is Johnson calling for a moonshot program based on CRISPR? I doubt it.
In any event, have the Federal Reserve print the money, and is redeemable only when applied for from African or Caribbean soil and with both a foreign passport and a cancelled US passport.
Pretty sure that the “reparations” paid from 1965 to the present have more than covered that bill, and the costs incurred by crime committed, and court/imprisonment expenses incurred on behalf of, that “community” should cover the interest. In fact, I think the rest of us are owed a significant refund.
....there were blacks in the south that owned slaves....
yes I know: when whites own blacks it’s a crime against humanity. When blacks own blacks, it’s forgivable.
GFY
I’d say the hundreds of thousands of white Americans that gave their lives to free the slaves in the civil war are reparations enough.
It wouldnt matter if it was $114 trillion. No amount will satisfy the race hustlers. If white America turned over every home, business, bank account and agreed to become slaves to blacks as reparations, it still wouldnt be enough. People raised on hate arent likely to change. I say pound sand with your demands Bobby. For decades, Ive paid taxes that were transferred to blacks, been overlooked for promotion because of affirmative action, been told how hateful and evil I am for being white.
Enough. Your words fall on deaf ears. I have no longer any sympathy for you or your cause. At some point you will get along or it will get ugly. Looting the latest pair of Air Jordans will be the least of your worries. Stop poking the bear with a stick.
