Statement from Barr:
Good afternoon. The greatness of our nation comes from our commitment to the rule of law.
The outrage of our national community about what happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis is real and legitimate. Accountability for his death must be addressed, and is being addressed, through the regular process of our criminal justice system, both at the state and at the federal level. That system is working and moving at exceptional speed. Already initial charges have been filed by the state. That process continues to move forward. And justice will be served.
Unfortunately, with the rioting that is occurring in many of our cities around the country, the voices of peaceful protest are being hijacked by violent radical elements.
Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate and violent agenda.
In many places, it appears the violence is planned, organized, and driven by anarchic and left extremist groups, far left extremist groups, using Antifa-like tactics, many of whom travel from out of state to promote the violence.
We must have law and order on our streets and in our communities, and it is the responsibility of the local and state leadership, in the first instance, to halt this violence. The Department of Justice, including the FBI, the U.S. Marshals, the ATF, the DEA and our 93 United States Attorneys office, U.S. Attorneys offices around the country, uh, are supporting these local effortswill continue to support themand take all action necessary to enforce federal law.
In that regard, it is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting. And we will enforce those laws. Thank you
I have a right to my opinion.
I might be wrong.
But I have a right to my opinion.
Rush can never be replaced. If he goes, it is the end of an era.
I do like Mark Steyn. He’s awesome.
On the other hand, good luck for Bongino. At least he’s not Ken Matthews or Jason Lewis.
I agree the COD is not favorable for prosecution. However basics are that once the handcuffs are on a perp he is put in the back seat of the patrol car and taken to jail. That did not happen here and no good reason for it not to have happened.
I still see it as a hit and part of a bigger picture that is playing out in a city near you now.
Bottom line:Trump has to go. In a contorted political view this is how the hard left trys to get rid of him.
Cannot stand Ken Matthews.
I like Steyn.
I love Don Bongino and I have a right to my opinion.
When all is said and done, I hope and pray that Rush survives but man, it’s tough to get through chemotherapy.
I hope he does.
If it comes to having to replace Rush I certainly hope it isn’t that one from PA.
I think you might be referring to the Matthews guy.
Can’t stand him.
Thanks very much! Excellent take on what is going on. So many players so many tentacles to this op. You framed it really well.
Passenger in the car:very interesting.....
Great post. The antifa have violated almost everything you listed in spades. Arrests should be happening immediately.
What I would like to see is huge bonds required for anyone engaging in this type of domestic terrorism, looting, damaging property in desperate times, inciting others to riot, etc. etc.
put million dollar bonds on these bozos make the Hollywood left/Soros have to come up with big bucks to get these clowns out of jail.
Yep that’s the guy. I turned off Rush’s’ show the other day for the first time in 39 years after hearing that moron.
MN Rep IlhanOmar’s daughter, too, is aiding the protest.
The panel on This Week are saying it is white supremacists causing the riots.
Is the world supposed to believe this?
Just say a lie and boom, like magic it becomes the truth.
Yeah we know fish.you have rights.
Well, he does have stage IV lung cancer.
For sure. Rush literally created the modern talk radio show and most or many hosts today copy his lead.
He and Hannity have over 20 million listeners and are the presumed leaders of the pack since that’s how talk show hosts are rated by listenership.
As for Rush he was able to continue his show while deaf.He had transcripts printed quickly and was able to take calls while deaf. Many hosts can’t take calls effectively while hearing the calls. He uses numerous techniques for his show many of which are copied and is currently fighting stage 4 cancer.Let’s all hope he comes out of this better than ever.
