I say position them close to the area as a warning. Cut off essential services (electric, water etc) except for a 5-8 hour window everyday.

John Justice, from KTLK, Twin Cities News Talk, was just interviewed on local radio WBAL in Baltimore. He said that busloads are arriving in Minneapolis. When asked if he thought they were protesters or rioters, he answered ... rioters.
It’s too bad that the left has been OK with AntiFA as long as they were disrupting and attacking conservative speakers and gatherings. They could have been arrested individually and stopped in their influence several years ago.
At some point, this is no longer going to be about making arrests.
Overwhelming force may become necessary to protect life and property.
Escalating the violence to get to that point seems to be intent of whoever is organizing this.
Military personnel are prevented from civil law enforcement situations.
Not familiar With protocol but once federal troops go in does the governor have first say or does he relinquished his control?
