Oh there may be at least a smidgen of interes in getting their butts in line and reestablishing U.S. support again. It’s a cinch they’ll get no further support unless the do straighten up and fly right. I thought his threat to cut our support to $40 Million would get their attention. Surely $0 Million should.

Why?

It’s a cinch they’ll get no further support unless the do straighten up and fly right.

They'll get no further support regardless. We've withdrawn from the WHO.

I thought his threat to cut our support to $40 Million would get their attention. Surely $0 Million should.

Too late. We gone.

Don’t know if you were around for this, but back in the early 1980’s Ronald Reagan pulled the US out of UNESCO. And for a very good reason. They were pushing a New World Information Order that would have allowed thuggish dictatorships to censor information globally (not at all unlike what’s been going on with the ChiComs and social media).

We remained out of UNESCO for a couple of decades, and only rejoined because the UN made that the price for Bush getting his declaration which supported going into Iraq.

If W wasn’t sucking-up so hard in that quest we’d still be out.
