It’s not even clear if POTUS was referring to having the National Guard shoot looters or whether he was saying shootings will be inevitable once looting starts, as shop owners will shoot to defend their property. Either way, there was nothing wrong with the tweet.
If he’s talking about the NG, then he’s simply describing law and order. If he’s talking about the owners, then he is simply describing, not threatening.
But speaking about shooting, I take this to be a shot across the bow from Twitter. Essentially they are threatening that they could take down Trump’s account if he keeps doing what they don’t want.
I imagine they have the idea that Trump does not want that to happen with the election coming up. Not unlike China threatening our pharma drug chain when we don’t have the ability to immediately supply our own pharma needs. They are betting that the threat of taking away Trump’s Twitter soapbox is more than he would really want to risk.
