A former club owner in south Minneapolis says the now-fired police officer and the black man who died in his custody this week both worked security for her club up to the end of last year.

George Floyd and now-former Officer Derek Chauvin both worked security at the El Nuevo Rodeo club on Lake Street, according to Maya Santamaria. Santamaria owned the building for nearly two decades, but sold the venue within the last few months...

In one of the videos, he can be seen looking down at Floyd, who is obviously unconscious, and STILL keeps his knee down on his neck.

I don’t understand the knee on the neck. Is that a normal police move? I could maybe see it if the perp is just OUTTA CONTROL, jacked up on drugs, but in the videos we’ve seen, this does not appear to be the case.

None of the people commenting here have the responsibility of actually prosecuting this case, so it's pretty easy for them to make snap judgements based on video evidence that recorded a few minutes of the event.

The prosecutors have to gather the key facts, one of them being cause of death, before they determine which charge to make.

The last thing they want to do is charge someone with a crime that they cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

There are a lot of questions as to why the officers have not been charged, and it does seem odd. But I am certain that they want to make a solid case against the officers and are not trying to whitewash this.

You hear a lot of people over on the left making claims of guilt without offering clear cut evidence. We've seen the President hounded with that attitude for four years. It really surprises me that here we have so many people who are disregarding the concept of innocent until proven guilty.

I’ve been banned from several forums on which I’ve been a member for years or decades because of my comments on CV19. I wasn’t breaking site rules but I was causing a chitstorm of site rule breaking by all the Karens on the site. At the end of the day, it’s easier to ban one guy - even if he’s right, than everybody else, even if they are wrong.
